A surprising new drug ‘could help Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy’

Scientists in the US have been using Viagra and Cialis, usually used for treating male impotence, while researching Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The drug has shown an increase in blood flow to the muscles and could be beneficial in slowing the progression on muscle wastage. To read the full BBC article click here.

MP’s call for newborn Muscular Dystrophy test

A group of MP’s is urging the government to allow testing of newborn babies for Muscular Dystrophy.
