Scottish Care Accolade Awards 2013

CMS is pleasedto announce Project Armour has made it through to the final stage of the Scottish Care Accolade Awards in the Personalisation of Services category. We are all so pleased that the hard work that has been put in since October 2011 to helping Lois in achieving her dream of going to University and living in the halls of residence is being recognised in such an important way. The judging and the finals will be covered by media and ensure that a high profile is given to Client, Project & Care Staff. This will create prospects for recognition that will be of value to all who have been involved. CMS would like to take this opportunity to thank those who took time to write a statement supporting our application as we really do appreciate and recognise how much you want Lois to do well in Aberdeen and go on to have a successful future. This will also help consolidate the new ways of working across disciplines, authorities and institutions and ensure that opportunities for Independent Living can be available for more young people that are ambitious but require additional support.

The hard work does not end there. A small group will be formed to prepare and to present the project to a select number of judges in Scottish Social Care Council offices in Dundee on Thursday 25th April at 11.00am. The final is on May 31st in Perth where we will enjoy some afternoon tea and have the opportunity to meet other care organisations from all around Scotland. You can see more details about the competition, the rules, the judges & the finalists on the Care Accolades website at http://www.sssccareaccolades.uk.com/
